Thomas Lam Hiu Tung

Architect & Design Director

Thomas is an architect with over two decades of experience, who believes that architecture can serve as ‘bridge’ connecting nature, culture, history and people. As co-founder of Luxe Development and Head of Design at Luxe Development and LX Architects, Thomas is well-regarded for delivering exceptional designs.

Before founding the firm, he worked at several reputable architectural practices, including Harmer Architecture (AU), Brearley Architects & Urbanists (AU), The Buchan Group (AU) and WOW Architects (SG).

Throughout his career, Thomas has undertaken a diverse range of projects, including conceptual urban planning projects in China, designing modern mausoleums in Melbourne’s suburbs, and luxury hotel and resort projects in Tanzania. His design philosophy embodies a rigorous approach to space planning, construction detail and project management, with an unwavering focus on detail and materiality.

In Thomas’s view, every project is a testament to delivering design work that transcends expectations and is innovative and inspiring.

See Hung Ting

Finance Director

See Hung is an Engineer with extensive experience in both Australia and Brunei. He is not only a founding partner of Luxe Development but has been actively involved in the company’s development since its inception. His key responsibilities include overseeing the overall finance and project financing, ensuring that all projects are carried out within achievable budgets. Additionally, he takes a special interest in introducing sustainable design practices to the market, reflecting his commitment to environmental consciousness and responsible development.

Beyond his professional achievements, See Hung demonstrates a dedication to maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle. He enjoys engaging in Trail Running, participating in Marathons, and challenging himself in Triathlons. This active pursuit of physical fitness and endurance sports highlights his passion for personal growth and well-being outside of work.

Rodney Tew Chen Tong

Principal Architect

Rodney has gained extensive experience working on diverse projects of varying scales in Brunei. He has undertaken the design and project management of projects encompassing residential and commercial buildings, educational and interior design facilities, as well as diplomatic and religious structures.

Architecture revolves around the intricate relationship between individuals and their physical surroundings.

Rodney is dedicated to taking incremental measures towards fostering a sustainable and environmentally friendly environment. Additionally, he derives pleasure from indulging in music and theater.

Engaging in the exploration of dessert recipes and subsequently sharing them with friends and family, Rodney finds joy in the vast array of flavors and spices available. The process of experimentation and adaptation becomes a source of amusement, as he takes delight in the culinary arts and cherishes the time spent in the kitchen.

Noor Hamizah

Interior Designer

Hamizah holds a Bachelor Honours degree in Interior Design from Lasalle College of Arts, Singapore in 2018. Her philosophy centers around the belief and essence of beautiful and meaningful spaces. She perceives interior design as an art form that has the ability to create transformative spaces, portray stories and evoke emotions.

Amidst her chaotic schedule, she chooses her quiet moments to immerse in a book because reading fuels her imagination and influences her sense of storytelling. Hamizah is also an avid traveler, constantly seeking fresh perspectives & cultural influences that set her designer’s eyes aglow with inspiration.

Angelina Chan

Architectural Executive

With five years of experience in the industry, Angelina has worked on a range of projects such as residential, housing developments and commercial. She is adept at various stages of the design process, including concept design, design development, consultant coordination and client liaison. Angelina’s acute attention to detail and ability to work proficiently in collaborative settings make her a positive impact to any project team.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Angelina finds joy and relaxation in the water, whether it be swimming or diving.

Angelina holds a Master of Architecture degree from Deakin University in Victoria, Australia.

Izam Ghazali

Architectural Executive

Izam Ghazali is a passionate designer who joined Luxe Development in 2020. As a member of the design team, he is involved in the conceptualization, planning and design of a diverse range of projects, reaching residential, commercial, and institutional areas. Izam embraces design and architecture as potent tools for storytelling, fostering connections between people and their surroundings.

While his professional journey began with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Architecture from the University of Portsmouth, UK, his passion flourished through childhood model making, product design, and a keen interest in film and editing.

Khadijah Norshafiee

Interior Designer

Khadijah is a graduate from the University of Portsmouth with a bachelor’s degree in Interior architecture & design, inclusive of a year of industrial placement. Since joining Luxe Development in 2021, she has worked on various minor-scale commercial, office and residential interior projects which has given her experience in concept design, design development and site management.

Together with Interior Design, she is enthusiastic about travelling, graphic design and photography.

Aiysha Shariful

Architectural Executive

Aiysha is an architecture graduate with hands-on experience in various project types, including residential, commercial, industrial, and interior design. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Nottingham, UK. Aiysha’s passion extends beyond architecture, as she has a genuine passion for painting and trivia.

Alma A. Pareja

Production Architect

Alma has acquired extensive knowledge in the field of architecture and construction with over 15 years of experience in both local and overseas employment. Her aptitude lies in producing a wide range of architectural drawings, from preliminary designs to construction drawings, which encompass materials specification and technical details. Alma excels both independently and as a team player, demonstrating effective collaboration with professionals such as contractors and consultants.

Alma holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from Technological University of the Philippines.

Samihah Mohd.

Draftsperson

Having gained over 8 years of experience in the field of CAD management, Sam assists the team in overseeing architectural, M&E and construction processes. She understands the goals and priorities necessary to exceed clients’ expectations and consistently sets high goals and strives for excellence. Also, she demonstrates good communication skills, allowing her to effectively engage with individuals across different levels within the internal organization as well as external professionals.

Sam holds an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design from Politeknik Brunei.

Austin Teo

Draftsperson

Austin is a graduate in architecture with a keen interest in concept design and design development across different building typologies. He posses a curious mindset, always eager to expand his knowledge and skills. Besides his professional interests, Austin enjoys drawing, playing games, figurine collections, volleyball and badminton.

Austin holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Brunei.

Deey Raudah

Finance Executive

Having worked for various industries such as property development, investment, and global corporation, Deey is an adaptable and dynamic individual who has extensive knowledge in the Accounting and Finance field. She has four years of experience in the field and is currently undertaking to becoming an accredited and certified accountant from the Association of Chartered Certified Account (ACCA).

Beyond her professional pursuits, Deey enjoys training for Olympic Weightlifting, and she aims to take part in National Weightlifting competitions in Brunei and overseas.

Deey holds a Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Finance with a minor in English Language and Linguistics from Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

Ainatul Ruwaidah binti Awang Rosli

Office Administration & Accounts Assistant

Aina holds a Master’s Degree in Logistics and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She exhibits good relationship management abilities, and her core strengths include coordination, handling financial processes, accounts and administrative works, shipping, logistics & inventory management, as well as procurement & purchasing.

In her leisure time, Aina enjoys travelling, explore new indoor and outdoor destinations, reading books, sightseeing and of course, shopping.

Wina Wasli

Account Administration

Graduating with a degree in Economics, Wina has gained experience in the finance industry, particularly in the fields of accounts and insurance. Currently serving as an Accounts Administrator, her responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners, and maintaining up-to-date records of invoices and receipts.
