Thomas Lam is a Design Director and architect with over two decades of experience, who believes that buildings can serve as bridges between nature, culture, history and people.

As co-founder of Luxe Development and Head of Design at Luxe Development and LX Architects, Thomas is well-regarded for delivering exceptional designs. 

Before founding these firms, he worked at several reputable architectural practices, including Harmer Architecture, Brearley Architects & Urbanists, The Buchan Group and WOW Architects.

Throughout his career, Thomas has undertaken a diverse range of projects, including conceptual urban planning projects in China, designing modern mausoleums in Melbourne’s suburbs, and luxury hotel and resort projects in Tanzania. His design philosophy embodies a rigorous approach to space planning, construction detail and project management, with an unwavering focus on detail and materiality. 

In Thomas’s view, every project is a testament to delivering design work that transcends expectations and is innovative and inspiring.

Rodney has gained extensive experience working on diverse projects of varying scales in Brunei. He has undertaken the design and project management of projects encompassing residential and commercial buildings, educational and interior design facilities, as well as diplomatic and religious structures.

Architecture revolves around the intricate relationship between individuals and their physical surroundings.

Rodney is dedicated to taking incremental measures towards fostering a sustainable and environmentally friendly environment. Additionally, he derives pleasure from indulging in music and theater.

Engaging in the exploration of dessert recipes and subsequently sharing them with friends and family, Rodney finds joy in the vast array of flavors and spices available. The process of experimentation and adaptation becomes a source of amusement, as he takes delight in the culinary arts and cherishes the time spent in the kitchen.

Hamizah holds a Bachelor Honours degree in Interior Design from Lasalle College of Arts, Singapore in 2018. Her philosophy centers around the belief and essence of beautiful and meaningful spaces. She perceives interior design as an art form that has the ability to create transformative spaces, portray stories and evoke emotions.

Amidst her chaotic schedule, she chooses her quiet moments to immerse in a book because reading fuels her imagination and influences her sense of storytelling. Hamizah is also an avid traveler, constantly seeking fresh perspectives & cultural influences that set her designer’s eyes aglow with inspiration.

Izam Ghazali is a passionate designer who joined Luxe Development in 2020. As a member of the design team, he is involved in the conceptualization, planning and design of a diverse range of projects, reaching residential, commercial, and institutional areas. Izam embraces design and architecture as potent tools for storytelling, fostering connections between people and their surroundings.

While his professional journey began with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Architecture from the University of Portsmouth, UK, his passion flourished through childhood model making, product design, and a keen interest in film and editing.

Aiysha is an architecture graduate with hands-on experience in various project types, including residential, commercial, industrial, and interior design. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Nottingham, UK. Aiysha’s passion extends beyond architecture, as she has a genuine passion for painting and trivia.

A friendly and outgoing architectural graduate currently involved in a supporting role in design and production. Prior to Luxe, Alan has worked on renovation projects within the industrial and residential sector from design development to consultant and client liaison.

Alan has a Master of Architecture from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia. He also enjoys hiking and taking part in photography classes during his free time.

Having gained over 8 years of experience in the field of CAD management, Sam assists the team in overseeing architectural, M&E and construction processes. She understands the goals and priorities necessary to exceed clients’ expectations and consistently sets high goals and strives for excellence. Also, she demonstrates good communication skills, allowing her to effectively engage with individuals across different levels within the internal organization as well as external professionals.

Sam holds an Advanced Diploma in Interior Design from Politeknik Brunei.

Austin is a graduate in architecture with a keen interest in concept design and design development across different building typologies. He posses a curious mindset, always eager to expand his knowledge and skills. Besides his professional interests, Austin enjoys drawing, playing games, figurine collections, volleyball and badminton.

Austin holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Brunei.

Aina holds a Master’s Degree in Logistics and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She exhibits good relationship management abilities, and her core strengths include coordination, handling financial processes, accounts and administrative works, shipping, logistics & inventory management, as well as procurement & purchasing.

In her leisure time, Aina enjoys travelling, explore new indoor and outdoor destinations, reading books, sightseeing and of course, shopping.

Graduating with a degree in Economics, Wina has gained experience in the finance industry, particularly in the fields of accounts and insurance. Currently serving as an Accounts Administrator, her responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external partners, and maintaining up-to-date records of invoices and receipts.
